Symposium
Following the first Sunday 3pm matinee,
special guests help place the production in context with illuminating insights
about the world of the play. The Playhouse hosts a wide range of guests from
noted playwrights to academic scholars, for discussions that provide an

Backstage Pass
The Playhouse technical staff is second
to none. Stick around as they share with you the finer points of what makes a
play work on the stage. From moveable scenery to lighting effects, from
trapdoors to design renderings, you never know what you’ll see but one thing is
for sure – you’ll be impressed! Backstage Pass follows the final Wednesday
matinee* during the run of each production.

LGBT
Night OUT
Inaugurated as a subscription series in
2011, LGBT Night OUT is geared specifically for the lesbian/gay/bisexual/transgender
community and allies. Whether you enjoy mingling with friends, meeting up with
colleagues and family, or meeting someone new, the LGBT Night OUT subscription
series (Thursday Preview) boasts a fabulous pre-show cocktail party - complete
with light eats and festive drinks - followed by a remarkable Playhouse

Books Worth Talking About Literary Salon
Our Literary Salon series, Books Worth Talking About, will continue in 2013 and will include a pre-show salon with featured authors and lively discussion followed by a performance of a Playhouse production. This series will provide an opportunity to interact with prominent authors and explore ideas and themes which will enrich the theater-going experience. Books Worth Talking About is a partnership between Westport Country Playhouse and Meryl L. Moss Media Relations. The Literary Salon series takes place on the second Tuesday performance of each run.
