Your Donation will be twice as nice this december!
Westport Country Playhouse has received a generous $75,000 challenge grant from Newman’s Own Foundation, the independent foundation created by Paul Newman to continue his philanthropic legacy. Together, Paul and his wife, former Playhouse artistic director JoAnne Woodward, were instrumental in creating the Playhouse as it exists today.
You, too, can play an important role in keeping our Playhouse strong by making a gift to support the theater this holiday season. Your donation will be doubled by Newman's Own Foundation when you make a contribution before midnight on December 31, 2014.
Did you know that if the Playhouse operated on a Broadway model, we would be forced to charge in excess of $137 per ticket? But thanks to donors just like you, the average 5-Play Season ticket price this year was only $42, with young people and students paying as little as $10 to experience professional live theater.
But by making a gift – of whatever amount is right for you – you’ll help ensure that thousands can join you in the audience in the coming year. Your gift will help ticket prices remain accessible for everyone in our community, and provide educational programs and subsidized tickets for students. It will have twice the impact thanks to this generous challenge, so please make a gift today to have your donation doubled.
