Terrence Riggins

Terrence Riggins is a playwright whose play Otis and Zora, produced by The Billie Holiday Theatre, garnered several Audelco Award nominations and one win. His play Bastardis Eclipsus was developed through The Fire This Time Festival’s New Works Lab Cycle 3. His solo shows, Unbecoming Tragedy: A Ritual Journey Toward Destiny y The Picasso Incident, are currently in development. Terrence is also an actor who began his Equity theater career in the title role of August Wilson’s King Hedley II, under the direction of the late Israel Hicks, for the Denver Center Theatre Company where he was an acting company member. He has appeared as Harmond Wilks in RadioGolf, Caesar Wilks in Gem of the Ocean, and Walter Lee Younger in A Raisin in the Sun, also under the direction of Mr. Hicks. Terrence is best known for his role as Spider in What’s Love Got To Do With It? and is a Presidential Scholar Finalist in the Arts.
