Westport Country Playhouse: The Good German, Script in Hand playreadings of Dracula and Pack of Lies. Boyd received his theater training at the Pacific Conservatory of the Performing Arts and Juilliard. Early on, he appeared at the New York Shakespeare Festival, the Roundabout Theatre and the Brooklyn Academy of Music. He has won four Tony Awards for his work in Gypsy, She Loves Me, The Heidi Chronicles, and Contact, and received a fifth Tony Award nomination for his role in Journey’s End. Boyd is known for his roles in the movies Heartbreak Ridge and The Sure Thing, and for his television appearances in “Law & Order” and “The Good Wife.”

His directorial work has been seen at Alley Theatre, George Street Playhouse, Virginia Stage, Hudson Stage, The White Heron, Fulton Opera House, Weston Playhouse, Penguin Rep, Merrimack Rep, Hangar Theatre, and many more. He is the author of the Off Broadway and regional comedy The Dingdong and his holiday adaptation, A Merry Little Christmas Carol.
