The Cemetery Club
by Ivan Menchell

Monday, February 25, 2019 at 7 PM

Three Jewish widows meet once a month for tea before going to visit their husbands’ graves in this hilarious, yet moving comedy. Ida is sweet tempered and ready to begin a new life; Lucille is a feisty embodiment of the girl who just wants to have fun; and Doris is priggish and judgmental, particularly when Sam the butcher enters the scene. He meets the widows while visiting his wife’s grave. Doris and Lucille squash the budding romance between Sam and Ida. They are guilt-stricken when this nearly breaks Ida’s heart.

Tricks of the Trade
by Sidney Michaels

Monday, March 25, 2019 at 7 PM

Nothing is as it first appears in this gripping story of a New York psychologist and his female patient. Something is wrong about the therapy sessions between Dr. August Browning and the beautiful but possibly very ill Diana. Just when we are about to wring our hands at August's tricks of the trade, we learn that, in addition to being a psychologist, he is a spy for the CIA. Or is he? Is he, perhaps, a smuggler? Why is he so suspicious of Diana? Could she be Nadia, a KGB agent who has already finished off three of his associates and is after the microfilm in August's possession? During this strange and compelling game of cat and mouse which takes place during Diana's therapy sessions, love rears its tender head. As in all good thrillers, there is a surprising and shocking final twist.

Murder, Too
by David Wiltse

Monday, May 6, 2019 at 7 PM

A new comedy thriller set in the theater world where love, betrayal, and maybe murder, too, take center stage.

Mara Baron, an artistic director of her own theater with a diva-like attitude and a voracious sexual appetite, has been receiving death threats and has acquired a pistol for self-defense. She has just taken on a hapless young actor/handyman as an appetizer when her best friend, patron and very wealthy woman, Eve Cohen Snedeker, arrives for drinks with her husband, Todd Snedeker, a disgruntled novelist/playwright who is an outspoken critic of Mara–in private. Mara hides the actor in another room, but he soon appears unbidden and befriends Todd by flattering his novels. Pretending to speak hypothetically about a new novel, Todd involves the actor in a plot to murder Mara because she has threatened to tell Eve about their ongoing affair. When Mara finds out about her proposed murder, and Eve finds out about Mara's affair with her husband, everyone turns murderous in their inept and comical ways.
