Katherine M. Carter
Westport Country Playhouse: Art and Red (assistant director). Originally from Michigan, Katherine M. Carter is a stage director based in New York City. She is the co-founding Artistic Director of The MITTEN Lab theatre residency in Northern Michigan and founding Artistic Director of The Other Mirror; a New York company dedicated to adaptations for the stage. Katherine has worked at Wolf Trap Opera (16’ Directing Fellow), Playwrights Horizons (11’-12’ Fellow), The Little Orchestra Society, 54 Below, Dixon Place, New York University, and Boston Opera Collaborative. She has been awarded residencies with The Drama League, Magic Time, The Directors Company and, currently, New Georges. Laura Eason is a screenwriter and playwright. She is best known for four seasons on the Netflix drama, “House of Cards” (WGA Nomination for Outstanding Writing in a Drama Series, Emmy Nomination for Drama Series) and her more than twenty produced plays and adaptations. They include Sex with Strangers (Second Stage, New York; Steppenwolf Theatre, Chicago; Hampstead Theatre, London; Sydney Theatre, AU; Blackwing Productions, Buenos Aires, AR; one of the most produced plays in the U.S. in ‘15-'16 and '16-'17 seasons with over fifty separate productions) and Jules Verne’s Around the World in 80 Days (director of world premiere at Lookingglass Theatre, Chicago; Baltimore Centerstage; KC Rep; St. James Theater, London, Royal Exchange, Manchester; New Vic, Stoke; 18 city UK tour including London’s Cadogan Hall in 2017). Laura is a long-time Ensemble Member and the former Artistic Director of Lookingglass Theatre Company in Chicago (2011 Regional Theatre Tony Award). She is a member of the Dramatists Guild, the Television Academy, WGAE, AEA, SAG, SDC and ASCAP. Laura is an alumna of Northwestern University, Piven Theatre Workshop and the WP Playwrights Lab. A fourth generation Chicagoan, she now lives in Brooklyn with her husband, actor Erik Lochtefeld, and their daughter.
Edward T. Morris
Westport Country Playhouse debut. He has previously designed for Shanghai Dramatic Arts Center, Yale Repertory Theatre, Martha Graham Dance Company, LaMama, Atlantic Theater Company, The Barrow Group, Cherry Lane Theater, Opera Memphis, Princeton University, and Columbia University among many others. Caitlin is a freelance designer and visual artist based from New York and Resident Costume Designer with 3 Day Hangover, The Davis Shakespeare Ensemble and Dreamscape Theater. She was recently featured on Jezebel's Clothing Whores. Favorite Credits include: Mirror Alchemy, a design motivated editorial project she created and co-produced with The Other Mirror; In Fields Where They Lay, about the Christmas Day Truce of 1914; and Drunkle Vanya with Three Day Hangover. She is currently producing a design-focused editorial project on the American Immigrant Legacy called Huddled Masses. She has designed regionally with Case Western University, Boston Opera Collaborative, The Shakespeare Theater of Maine, Burning Coal Theater, and the Yale Dramat. www.caitlincisek.com

Westport Country Playhouse debut. Beth Lake is freelance Sound Designer and theater practitioner. Her design aesthetic incorporates sound design early in the development phase, and relies heavily on collaboration with both text and movement. Beth holds an MFA in Sound Design from the University of California-Irvine. She is the resident Sound Designer of Team Awesome Robot, Blessed Unrest, and proud member of United Scenic Artists Local #829.
