Westport Country Playhouse is searching for a Business Manager to manage the day to day accounting functions of a leading not for profit theatre with a $6.5 million operating budget. Responsibilities include:

Payroll processing

Benefits management

1099/W2 management

Maintenance of all general ledger activity including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable- including box office reconciliation,

Preparation of bank reconciliations

Distribution and reconciliation of petty cash

Maintenance of all credit card and house account activity.

Also is responsible for compiling testing materials for outside accounting firm to prepare annual audit and 990 reporting. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business or Arts Management preferred or a strong combination of equivalent experience and a working knowledge of accounting. Interest in non-profit theatre is a huge plus. Experience with Microsoft Office is required; QuickBooks is a plus.
