"Journey's End by R.C.Sherriff, 2005. Westport Country Playhouse.
This 1929 play received a stunning production directed by Gregory Boyd. At a time when America was mired in a war that seemed mad, this production brought home a soldier's tale from a different era, but one that resonated for contemporary audiences in profound ways.
I also admired Mark Lamos' production of "Of Mice and Men" and the stage adaptation of "David Copperfield," staged by Joanne Woodward and Anne Keefe.
