Joel de la Fuente is grateful to join the Playhouse for the first time — and happy to be reunited with director Mark Shanahan for the first time in decades. Most recently, Joel can be heard reading Charles Yu’s National Book Award Finalist, Interior: Chinatown for Penguin Books. Onscreen, Joel has appeared in the Amazon original series, “The Man in the High Castle” as Chief Inspector Kido, and onstage all across the country doing the one-person play Hold These Truths, by Jeanne Sakata, for which he was nominated for a Drama Desk Award and won a Theatre Bay Award for Outstanding Performance in a Principal Role.
