Pre & Post Show Events

Make it an Evening (or a special matinee)

Cocktails, live music, behind-the-scenes insights — you’re invited to the party. There’s something for everyone!

6PM Pre-Show (First Preview)

This event is the new and improved version of “Taste of Tuesday.” Still catering to subscribers and now open to the community, this event offers free catered food from a local restaurant and wine tasting from Castle Wines. “The Chat” is the Q+A portion of the event where a member from the production or the community will talk for 15 minutes with a WCP staff member about the performance our patrons will shortly see. Patrons are encouraged to ask questions to guest speakers. Conversations are not limited to production. Questions and comments can be centered around their journey in the theatre industry or work in the community.

5:30PM Pre-Show (Wednesday Preview)

A free communal celebration for the Black and Brown community to celebrate Black people, history, and excellence.

6PM Pre-Show (Thursday Preview)

A fun, pre-show cocktail party for the LGBTQ+ community and friends. Enjoy live entertainment, cocktails served up by our LGBT Night Series Co-host Troupe429 (voted Best Gay Bar in Connecticut), and appetizers from some of Fairfield County’s best restaurants.

Select Thursdays, Post-Show

Our Post-Play Dialogues offer audience members the chance to participate in a conversation about the show moderated by members of our artistic staff. No ticket or RSVP is necessary — the discussions are free and open for all.

Join us after the final Thursday evening performance of each show for a lively Q&A with artists from the production. The talkbacks take place in Jason Robards Theatre immediately following the performance and typically runs about 20-25 minutes.

No ticket or RSVP is necessary in order to participate in the Thursday Cast Talkback or Post-Play Dialogues. The discussions are free and open to anyone who wishes to attend.
