Filled with humor, heart, and high heels, The Legend of Georgia McBride is a joyful, high-energy comedy about finding your voice and embracing change … and discovering who we are.

Casey is an Elvis impersonator, and a really good one. But he’s barely making ends meet and is expecting to become a father soon. When he loses his gig as the King of Rock and Roll, Casey trades in one set of sequins for another, taking a job at a drag club where his life is turned upside down in the most unexpected and dazzling ways.

WHAT Critics say about the show

The real subject here is empathy… the capacity to see the world through someone else’s eyes… Lopez’s play finds sweetness without sentimentality, offering a generous vision of people learning to understand one another."

The New York Times

What begins as a fish-out-of-water comedy deepens into a story about identity, compassion and the courage it takes to reinvent yourself."

Los Angeles Times

The play’s greatest strength is its compassion—its belief that people are capable of change, and that grace can come from the most unexpected places."

WAMC

Directed by Bruce Warren…. the night was electric, and I walked away loving the performance more than I expected. This show is a MUST SEE for EVERYONE! It maintains a balance between campy, serious, emotional and fun!"
